Axis Camera Recorder ACAP
Cybertronix Axis ACAP Multi-Purpose Recorder for (Axis F/W 10, 11 & 12)
This ACAP for Axis cameras allows you to record to RAM disk and SD card in various formats and frame rates. It is the basis for a number of solutions:
-
h265 for the best video recording performance - see high resilience recorder for CCTV
-
h264 for highly compatible playback - see high resilience recorder for CCTV
-
NV12 for colour RAW - used in machine/industrial vision - see our MVTec Halcon link product
-
Y800 for monochrome RAW - used in machine/industrial vision - see our MVTec Halcon link product
-
JPeG for Time-lapse - see our time-lapse software and hardware solutions.
The high resilience recorder server PC takes files and encrypts them during transfer from the camera RAM disk, once a minute (and also fills in any gaps in recording on the server). Whilst the camera also copies these onto the SD card, if fitted. Thus allowing for an intermittent network over WiFi/4G or a vehicle connection when parked overnight in a depot. Each minute file starts at 00 seconds and has a key frame at that point, allowing a precise minute by minute playback and thumbnail time-line.
The industrial/machine vision recorders use the internal RAW images and also are retrieved from the RAM disk on trigger (vision or physical I/O) for further processing by MVTec Halcon.
The JPeG mode has 3 capture speeds, 1 per minute, 1 per 5 minutes and 1 per 30 minutes.
The stills are sent to a central server running software that converts the stills into a compressed h264 .mp4 time-lapse video automatically and publishes them periodically. If the link is down or the server is being restarted, images are automatically buffered to the SD card and sent when the connection is working again.
The Axis F/W 12 version has been developed, waiting for a release to test with. Please contact Cybertronix for details.
